Life is fucking messy and chaotic - except of course if you're some sort of robot operating at full capacity all-day, every day and you know EXACTLY what you need to do from one month to the next and you never, ever, ever lose focus.
Although from my perspective that sounds like a gilded cage anyway. A stressful, kinda boring - but gilded cage nonetheless.
Where's the scope for unleashing the crazy dying to get out? Or did you already squash down that crazy, put it in a box and sealed it shut tight - and vowed never to let it see the light of day again? Oh honey... you don't EVER need to do that.
What about the day where you spill your coffee over yourself? The days when you side-step down the stairs because your joints need some time to "warm up" in the morning and on the last step you feel the ever-so-recognisable feel of cat-sick seeping between your toes?
Yeh, that life.
You don't need all the answers today - ESPECIALLY if you're coming from a place where you've got so many ideas you're not even sure WHERE you ought to be starting and how the fuck you're supposed to decide what you do EXACTLY want? I mean, going back to that - how the hell can you possibly know for SURE what you want, when you're not there yet?
I do know that when I've reached goals in life or business, that I feel satisfied (at least for a little while)... then the inevitable tip-tapping of fingers starts and I'm off on the next project.
Sounds fucking dull trying to map out the next 10 years.
Gosh! I sound distracted today - must be coming from that messy, chaotic place - and no, there was no cat-sick encounter this morning I had to deal with first!
It doesn't really matter if you don't know for sure what the end goal is or what it's going to look like at the end of this month, this quarter or this time next year.
What you absolutely DO need to do is start.
Do SOMETHING.
Even if it's messy - and chaotic... with a distinct whiff of cat-sick - you need to start.
Commit to doing SOMETHING - even if it's just the little thing - that drip, drip, drip into a bucket until the bucket is filled.
Do the thing. Hit publish. Sleep on it. Edit (if you must). Do the thing. Rinse. Repeat. Keep going. Keep doing the things - because if you don't? ... what are you if you're not doing the thing?
Stop waiting for the answers to land in your lap - nobody's got the guide book for life - we're all just winging it the best we can - but the happy ones?
They're the ones who are living their SELFISH life, making decisions to make themselves happy and feel content every day.
Stop gathering and start creating.
Today.
Or stay and die.
Wait for the leather-bound guidebook to "All the shit you must do" to be hand-delivered to your doorstep.
You know, because THAT happens.
Die or die not... that is the question - YOU ARE THE ANSWER!
